This week marked the start of Week 8, and I weighed in at 266.5 lbs, a loss of 0.3 lbs. While that might seem like a small drop, it was honestly expected. This was my first week transitioning to Zepbound, and with any change like that, there’s usually a bit of an adjustment period.

Adjusting to Zepbound
So far, I can confidently say that I like Zepbound better. The biggest difference I’ve noticed is how much it suppresses my appetite. It’s actually strong enough that I sometimes forget to eat, which is something I didn’t experience as much before.
While that might sound like a good thing, I’m starting to realize it can also work against me if I’m not careful. When I don’t eat earlier in the day, I end up struggling at night trying to figure out what to eat, which isn’t ideal.
Workouts & Schedule Challenges
I only got in one workout again this week. The main reason really comes down to being busy with school and everything else I’ve got going on. It’s not that I don’t want to work out—it’s just been tough to fit it in.
This is something I definitely want to improve, but I also need to be realistic and find a routine that actually works with my schedule instead of against it.
Nutrition & Habits This Week
A few things stood out to me this week:
- I need to drink more water
- I’m not eating early enough in the day
- I sometimes forget to eat altogether
Because of that, my focus going forward is to shift more of my eating to the morning and afternoon, so I’m not stuck at night trying to play catch-up.
Body Changes
As far as physical changes go, I haven’t noticed anything major yet. My clothes seem to fit about the same, and nothing really stands out visually. I know this process takes time, so I’m not too concerned about that right now.
Goals for Week 8
The goals stay simple and consistent:
- Get in 3 workouts this week
- Drink more water daily
- Eat earlier in the day (morning and afternoon focus)
Final Thoughts
Even though the scale didn’t move much this week, I feel like this is more of an adjustment phase than a setback. Switching to Zepbound is already changing how I eat and how I feel, so now it’s about building the right habits around it.
The biggest takeaway this week:
I can’t rely on hunger anymore—I need to be more intentional with my eating.
