Week 9 Weight Loss Update: Down to 264.4 lbs on Zepbound

This is my Monday weigh-in for the beginning of Week 9, and this week the scale moved in the right direction.

I weighed in at 264.4 lbs, which means I lost 2.1 lbs this week and I’m now down 10.6 lbs total since starting my weekly shots.

That also brings my average loss to about 1.17 lbs per week.

I’m Only Weighing Once a Week Now

One thing I’ve decided is that I’m only going to weigh myself once a week.

I do not want to keep checking during the week and getting distracted by every little fluctuation. For me, the Monday weigh-in is enough. It gives me a better picture of the overall trend and keeps me focused on consistency instead of day-to-day noise.

What I’m Noticing on Zepbound

Since switching to Zepbound, I can really tell the difference when it comes to appetite.

It definitely shuts down the urge to eat more than before, and sometimes it even gets to the point where I have to remind myself to eat. I still think I’m getting used to the medication, and for now I plan to stay at 5 mg for my weekly dose.

At this point, I do not plan to ask for more medicine. I want to keep seeing how I do at this level before making any changes.

Exercise Has Been the Hardest Part

If I’m being honest, I have been a little lazy this week.

Part of that is probably still adjusting to the medication, but a big part of it is just life right now. I’m taking 12 semester hours, and school has made it hard to stay consistent with exercise.

That is still one of my biggest struggles.

The weight is moving, but I know I need to find a better rhythm with activity, even if it’s just shorter, more realistic workouts until school is over.

Looking Ahead to May

One thing I need to do is find a real before picture and start adding more visual progress to the blog.

I think that will make these updates more meaningful over time, and I’m hoping I’ll have more to share once school is done in May and I have a little more room to focus.

Small Progress Outside the Scale

I also picked up 2 new followers on Instagram this week.

That may not sound like much, but it still matters. This whole project is about building one week at a time, whether that’s the number on the scale, better habits, or slowly growing the blog and social pages.

Final Thoughts

This week felt better.

The number on the scale dropped, Zepbound still seems to be helping with appetite, and I’m seeing that steady progress is happening even when everything is not perfect.

Now the goal is to keep things simple:

  • stick to my once-a-week weigh-in
  • keep learning how my body responds to Zepbound
  • get more consistent with exercise
  • keep documenting the process honestly

On to Week 9.
